The 8th grade football team battled Noblesville West to a 6-6 tie to open their season. Kruz Vasquez scored the Panthers' lone touchdown on a 6 yard run in the 4th quarter to knot the game up. Maddox Tolle took a late interception to the Millers' 4 yard line with 1.1 seconds remaining, but the Panthers failed to score on the last play of regulation. In the overtime period, the Panthers' defense held firm and kept the Millers from scoring. However, a Panther turnover on 2nd down ended the game in a tie.
